Infertility Solutions

Know about different infertility solutions

Infertility rate has increased significantly over the years. It can be seen in both men and women. From lifestyle to physical disorders, there are a vast variety of reasons why women suffer from this devastating dysfunction. Many causes of infertility have been identified and some infertility solutions are practiced all over the world. Treatments vary from woman to woman depending on the particular cause of infertility. You can consult with your doctor to know which one is the most suitable for you.

Infertility tests

All the infertility solutions require tests to confirm what kind of problem you are facing. Saliva or female hormone test is the most common. You will have to provide the diagnostic center with eleven samples of your saliva which will be examined in the lab. The samples are taken during specific stages of the menstrual cycle. You should remember that it takes some time for the newly produced eggs to become mature enough to join the sperm. It is impossible to get pregnant before the eggs become mature. So, being unable to conceive does not necessarily certify your infertility. That is why, infertility tests are conducted.

Medication for fertility

One of the easiest infertility solutions is medication. Their main objective is to produce healthy eggs by stimulating the ovaries. The medication often tweaks the hormone glands to make the ovaries more productive. The Pituitary gland controls the reproductive system. Women who suffer from problems related to pituitary glands are generally benefited from human menopausal gonadotropin supplements. The production of eggs is increased by taking Clomiphene citrate medicine. These medications can also increase the chances of having twins or triplets, as they make the ovary release two or three eggs per month.

ART or Assisted Reproductive Surgery

Unlike other infertility solutions, this procedure does not primarily interfere with the individual’s body. Rather it joins the eggs and sperms outside the body. The embryos are initially developed in labs. To obtain the eggs the woman is suggested to take medications and once she has produced multiple eggs, the doctors combine them with sperm in the lab. It generally takes about 5 days to develop the embryos and after that the healthy ones are placed in the woman’s uterus.

Surgery

Surgery are suggested when the female reproductive system is physically injured or has structural defects. For example, some women suffer from blocked fallopian tubes which can be treated by laparoscopic surgery. These types of infertility solutions can be applied to both men and women.

There are also some alternative treatments, which can improve a woman’s fertility. These fertility solutions include, acupuncture, exercise, proper diet and changing lifestyle. Several exercises can improve the performance of the ovaries. Women who are overweight can get some advantages from proper diet and exercise. Same thing goes for underweight women too. Also, drinking and smoking or any form of drug addiction can reduce fertility. This is why giving up these bad habits are recommended for women who wish to conceive.

Remember, healthy lifestyles are some of the most important infertility solutions.
