I can not drag on the team, in my help hotpoint top loader washing machine??
I have an old (but very reliable) Hotpoint (GE) washer. Its a top loader. My mixer is beautiful .. not cracked and not stipped. I had to replace the coupler. I managed to obtain a worn out old remove the stirring pole (metal). All points own 18 (right). I followed the directions provided (by decrease in lubrication with water and pushing down with my weight to get it). I'm not a frail little girl … I am a tall woman with much force. It will not "snap" or secure anything that is supposed to do. It comes right back up easily. The coupler old sat lowest secure and flush with the interior post. It will not go that far down, and when I tried to press down with the stirrer on top, it still would not go further. The agitator has more than 3 / 8 inch away from the washer drum is not supposed to be. I can easily slip my fingers under and pull up. What am I doing wrong? Agitator floats when washer is running. Useless.
I am a bit lost, coupling you speak, I know that the device between the engine and transmission, a three bedroom apartment with two identical parts and rubber washer that is between the two. I noticed that these parts have changed in recent years they had a hole in two pieces of plastic that slides on the shaft and transmission. Now they have a metal frame in the hole. If this is not what your talking about then I'm sorry I can not help. I must add note of admiration, you like to tackle anything – Great move.
